Growing with Purpose: Forty Years of Seward Community Co-op

In 2011 and 2012, I worked with co-author Patricia Cumbie to write the history of the Seward Community Co-op. I interviewed sixteen people who had been influential in creating the co-op as we know it today, including farmers, managers, recent immigrants, and board members. From these interviews, I wrote profiles that appeared throughout the book. I also wrote the history of the co-op from 1990 to the time of the book’s publication in October 2012.
